Sunflower Hill is a non-profit organization committed to developing housing  communities (similar to senior living) for individuals with special needs. This demographic is largely overlooked as it relates to housing needs. Shepherd’s Gate is a non-profit organization that provides safe places where women and their children can discover healing and freedom from life-controlling trauma issues through the power of Jesus Christ.  They provide a comprehensive program that addresses the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of women and children suffering from homelessness, addiction and domestic abuse. The 12 -18 month program includes long-term shelter, care and personalized case management for residents.

LVJUSD is one of larger school districts in the tri-valley area. As population trends have shifted over the last 20 years, the district has found itself with a handful of properties that are no longer operating as schools.  Like many other districts, they are faced with financial and organizational challenges involving the best way to provide superior public education to the community.
